Facebook Slowing Down? Surprised?
Facebook is a behemoth to it’s old self just 12 months ago. Why are the account numbers such a big thing for? Most of us know that a big chunk of the 700 million users the media throws out there are double, triple and many times over for business and pleasure alike among the user population. How many of those accounts are “deleted” accounts.. The deleted account where if you input your original account information all of your information is magically available to you like you never left.
The point of that has to do with the question I have; are those “deleted” accounts part of the overall number? That can seem a bit far-fetched but not out of the realm of things these days. Losing the numbers in Canada and here in the USA is not a surprise. As they say, “Pressure busts pipes…”, this Facebook slowing down drama was bound to come as it did to many including AOL, Yahoo, MSN/Bing and many others.
I saw somewhere a blogger gave them 3 years to bust. If you were an investor would the recent revelations effect your judgement on the investment? “No way Jose!”. Zuckerberg is going to walk away a billionaire any way we look at it if the IPO thing goes through next year.
$100,000,000,000 sound good to you? That is 100 billion dollars you get from those 12 numbers. I personally don’t see it but am not a big follower. I don’t even have a Facebook account but know that anyone involved with those types of numbers is going to become a very wealthy man or woman.
I say “Good Luck” to Facebook and those involved. I am not a big fan of Mark Zuckerberg but must say he bumped into a gold, platinum and everything else mine. For those with accounts and those looking to start an account; do so at your own risk and pay attention to your privacy/security settings. It is too easy to have your life altered by what someone may see on Facebook.
The numbers may be slowing down but businesses, entrepreneurs, bands, artists, entertainers, poets and everyone else on Facebook with a purpose (which is 10s of millions probably worldwide) will keep them going. Their Facebook ads, business pages, Facebook marketing, custom apps, their growing web search functions and many other growing and soon to be released functions they should be able to keep their stranglehold on social media for years to come.
Connecticut SEO: One of the Best
YES, I do work in the SEO industry and YES I am going to talk about the company I work for but I will not mention the name of the company I work for. Of course there will be a link to our website if you want to check us out. A new site is being worked on so don’t laugh too hard at the present look. Great information there for all though.
We have been around now for about 7 years. We are on our 3rd location and each got bigger. We have about 1800 sq feet to play with at the moment. The reason I through that in there is because there is a reason for our growth and stability even through the recent financial “crisis”.
From the initial call to the end of the initial contract we are in touch with our clients. Throughout the span of a given contract clients are able to be in touch with any member of our staff through our given office hours. Of course in order for the client to even want to continue talking to us by the end of their contract lets you know that there was sufficient success in attaining their initial goals and usually much more than the client envisioned when signing on with us.
Connecticut SEO services actually is a newer part of our company even though we are based in the state. We dealt and still deal with clients in a variety of industries from around the world. In the last 6-10 months we have taken on a sufficient amount of local Connecticut clients. We have dentists, contractors, a portable garage supplier, garage door installer, engine treatment website, a bankruptcy lawyer as well as a personal injury attorney to name a few… lol.. too much? Sorry.
From meta tags. content and links, to article marketing, blog reviews, video SEO and social media marketing we have stayed with the growth of the industry. We all know quick things change with the internet and algorithms of the “important” search engines. In order to be seen on Google, Yahoo, Bing and soon to be Facebook, we all have to pay attention, stay “white hat” and patiently await the results of our work.
The SEO industry has taken a lot of blows when it comes to the search engines and the way people view companies. The skepticism is deserved. That is coming from a 6 year veteran of the industry. As in real life, bad news always gets more attention than the good news. I deal with countless companies dealing in “black hat” tactics and can care less about the overall negative impact their tactics can have on a website rather than what results they are able to show within 3 months. Remember there is never a guarantee in SEO.
Good search engine optimization companies are not all of the companies you contact. Be sure to pay attention, find out what they offer, how much work is going to be done for your money and are they in it for the long haul. Make sure they listen to you. If you can’t speak to the owner from the beginning of the sales process he probably doesn’t care as much.
All you Connecticut companies out there with websites need to know there really is a good Connecticut SEO company here in CT, with a super cool owner ready to have you into the office at your convenience. Come sit in our conference room, have some coffee, water or tea, relax, become friends with us. I am sure the relationship will only grow.
The Many Uses for Canopies
Around the house certain items are indispensable… a sharp saw, sturdy clamps, jumper cables and canopies. Certain items have many uses and when they do it’s always a good idea to have such equipment around in case you should suddenly need something like a canopy. From party tents and even shelters to hurricane damage relief and vehicle storage commercial canopies can be used to perform a wide variety of storage and shelter tasks around homes, construction sites and garages.
Pop up canopies are perhaps the most widely used of all canopies. Safe, easy to use and lightweight these sturdy shelter buildings can pop up in minutes and be used for many outdoor activities including shade for a party, shelter for equipment and furniture during sudden rain and even tents for use at the beach. Available in a great selection of sizes you can always find a use for a well made pop up canopy.
Commercial canopies aren’t as prevalent as tarps and small canopies but having a large, commercial grade canopy stored in a basement or attic can come in handy when foul weather blows in. Hurricanes, tornadoes and cyclones can strike without warning a wreak untold havoc especially to house roofs and vehicle tops and if you suffer any roof damage during a storm a commercial canopy will act as a great temporary solution to provide protection and reduce further water damage.
Affordable Branding Techniques
From multinational corporations and start-up web companies to mom and pop shops and not-for-profit organizations everyone needs to pitch their name among the public. But not everyone has millions of dollars to spend on TV ad campaigns and others don’t want their products associated with aggressive selling techniques so to stay on the cheap and still effectively brand your name it makes sense to imprint your brand name, logo or slogan on everyday items that people always use. From key chains and tote bags to coffee mugs and baseball caps there are an unlimited variety of products you can stamp your name on to get plenty of exposure for the amount you are actually spending.
With an imprinted promotional product you attract the most willing consumer there is: the guy who likes the free stuff. Everywhere you go from corporate meetings and outings to seminars and trade shows marketers are offering free baseball hats and caps, cups, t-shirts, tote bags and everything else they can offer that has the sponsor’s name on it. It’s easy advertising since most people will certainly take something that is free and there goes your name and logo on another vehicle.
Many sites offer this type of marketing service but we found Imprinted.com to be of particularly high quality when it comes to design work, quality of merchandise and choices for custom work. If you need to market a company, brand or item and have a limited budget to work with consider a collection of imprinted products including imprinted mugs and promotional key chains to get people talking about your product.
Power up your Home Improvements
Not all of us are skilled enough to be handling complex construction projects at home. But for those of you who don’t mind a challenge or actually know what they are doing when the saw dust and nails fly we recommend outfitting yourself with the one variable that can turn a rank amateur into a carpenter pro: power tools. With the right amount of power and a technically flawless machine such as a drill or saw even those of us who failed high school shop can at least drill a hole or cut boards for shelves.
Many sites offer construction products and supplies but only Power Tools focuses solely on power tools and carries the most top name brand manufacturers including Bostitch, Dremel, Campbell-Hausfeld and Makita. This site has power tools for beginners and specialty equipment for contractors and builders that handle specific projects.
If you’re looking to perform some construction work around the home and will require an item like a power sander or power wrench then it makes sense to browse the huge selection at Power Tools. Not only is the site easy to navigate (you can select by tool type, brand or price) it also features actual product reviews by real customers so you can make better informed decisions when purchasing power tools.
Making Money off Websites
The internet opened up a whole new market for entrepreneurs who wanted a secondary real estate market, so to speak, in the form of buying and selling internet domain names and URL’s. When thought of in terms of real estate each website on the internet is its own property and with the right location and development can become quite valuable in the world of e-commerce, link popularity and content. Consider someone who years ago decided to buy an obscure site and now find his site worth millions because it happens to be a keyword popular URL and under the right management and funding can easily be turned into a revenue churning operation.
This idea has been around for quite some time. There are the urban legend stories of people buying up newyorkyankees.com and dallascowboys.com in the hopes of selling the popular domains to the teams if the price was right. Whether or not such tales are true (Google it) it does bring up the fact that if you have a hot domain name or a site with incredible link-back popularity and in-demand content you can option that site on the open market and sell a website business to the highest bidder.
One of the best options for putting a domain up for sale is to consult with an experienced business broker who can help guide you through the process and get you the best value possible for your website. We personally recommend Website Properties for your internet site sale since the feedback from those who have successfully sold their sites through this brokerage has been positive to say the least. If you’ve given up on developing your site into a cash cow consider cashing in by other means via selling your site through an online business broker.
